We are seeking several Mechanical Drafters who are currently available for contract opportunities in Melbourne.
Two of our valued clients need the assistance of multiple drafters as they reach critical stages in their projects. These clients serve various industries, and candidates with automotive experience are particularly of interest for these roles.
These positions are contract-based, with durations ranging from 2 to 6 months.
Please be aware that candidates lacking experience in CATIA or NX Siemens will not be considered.
Core Duties
Collaborating with engineers and designers to understand project requirements.
Creating accurate 2D and 3D drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Incorporating design changes and modifications as needed.
Ensuring drawings adhere to industry standards and regulations.
Reviewing and revising drawings based on feedback and project updates.
Maintaining organized documentation and records of designs and revisions.
Required Experience
Diploma of Engineering (Technical) or equivalent industry experience
Experience in 2D & 3D CAD using CATIA or Siemens NX (minimum 3 years recent experience required)
Experience working as a designer/draftsperson or steel detailer within the Automotive, oil & gas, infrastructure or building services industries
Experience in producing shop detail drawings relevant to your discipline
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Other Details
Own Transport required, sites are not easily accessible by public transport
Based in Melbourne, East and South East office locations
Citizenship is required for some, but not all of the roles
